Nautilus Marine launches its new top-of-the-range “Master Mariner” ultimate insurance product for Sanctuary Cove Boat Show.
Nautilus Marine Insurance Agency has developed Master Mariner, its new top of the line flagship insurance product for million dollar cruisers and yachts.

Ultimate cover for complete peace of mind
Master Mariner is a no fuss, no surprises tailored policy that covers private and occasional commercial charters even beyond the 200 mile offshore limit should it be needed. The new Master Mariner policy covers the hull, motors, equipment, accessories and fit-out. Additional features include:
- Personal effects - automatic cover up to $10,000 including sun glasses, watches, jewellery up to $500, DVDs and also professional skipper and/or guest's personal effects cover;
- Artworks & collectables – automatic cover up to $15,000 (max $2,500 per item with $100 excess);
- Fine wines and alcohol - up to $500;
- Food spoilage - perishable food items up to $500;
- Fishing, diving, waterskiing and aquaplaning equipment – cover of fishing, diving, waterskiing and aquaplaning equipment up to $5,000 (maximum of $1,000 per item);
- Travel home costs - reasonable travel costs up to $2,000 for the insured and/or the insured's immediate family members following a claimable incident;
- Ambulance cover – Up to $2,000 emergency cover to transport family or professional skipper to a place for treatment;
- Public Liability - $10 mill public liability cover except PWCs that have $5 mill cover;
- Ship's tender - extended automatic cover of tender/s to include water skiing cover and removal of the excess relating to the loss of a tender alone;
- Computer or Lap top - for a PC or Lap Top owned by the insured and kept on board should it be stolen or damaged;
- Machinery breakdown - machinery breakdown such as a sudden and un-foreseen loss of or damage to your boat's motor/s and or refrigeration that requires repair or replacement;
- Charter hire - loss of occasional commercial charter hire;
- Painting of the entire side of a damaged hull - painting the entire side of a damaged hull when colour matching to the damaged area would normally have been satisfactory (i.e. no contribution);
- Bottom inspection following running aground – cost to inspect the bottom of your vessel after stranding or running aground. No excess applies;
- Precautionary measures – up to $5,000 cover for moving your boat out of harm's way if it is in danger due to a marina fire or other insured peril;.
- Emergency towing and service – up to $5,000 for delivery of emergency fuel or towing to the nearest marina or service location;
- Repairer's negligence – extended cover for any loss or damage to your boat caused by the negligence of any repairer;
- Latent defect - cover loss or damage to your boat caused by any latent defect, defined as a hidden flaw or defect in the construction of the boat.
