Mackay Marina Village is located in North Queensland, at the gateway to the Southern Whitsundays.
It has twice been named Marina of the Year, is a certified Clean Marina and the only marina in Queensland to qualify for Fish Friendly Marina status. The Village also offers accommodation, food and drink, and shops and services, with the precinct including a residential village of townhouses and apartments. The Mackay Marina has over 400 berths for all types of vessels ranging from 10m up to 55m, and work on the new Nib Wall is well underway. The Nib Wall is a $10.5M resilience project which includes a rock Nib Wall that will help deliver increased protection for the marina, which can be exposed to northerly waves during certain weather conditions. The new Nib Wall will comprise of a 120m long rock wall on the inside of the Southern Breakwater, just inside the current marina entrance. Construction is almost finished, with the Nib Wall build set to be completed in July.
