Situated within The Waterfront, Shell Cove community, Shellharbour Marina is a world-class boating lifestyle destination which offers direct blue water access to the NSW South Coast, and is widely regarded as one of Australia’s most significant new marina developments in recent years.

Shellharbour Marina has now entered an exciting new stage with the unveiling of an impressive new Marina Services Centre. The new Marina Services Centre adds publicly accessible green space and amenities, along with a range of facilities for Shellharbour Marina users including ensuites, a laundry, customer lounge and marina office.

Shellharbour Marina’s berthing infrastructure is also nearing completion, with an additional 125 berths set to be finished by April 2024, giving Shellharbour Marina a total of 270 berths. Shellharbour Marina has achieved Gold Anchor Marina and Superyacht Ready status along with Clean Marina and Fish Friendly Marina accreditations.

“Shellharbour Marina is unique on the NSW South Coast,” says Shellharbour Marina Director Les Binkin. “We’re situated 50 nautical miles south of Sydney Harbour and set within Shell Cove Harbour, which has direct access to the Tasman Sea. The training and professionalism of our staff is also a huge part of our marina experience with our management team having a combined 50 years’ experience in the marina industry.”

Planning and development of Shellharbour Marina first began 30 years ago, and there have been several stages of the project, which is led by Shellharbour City Council with Frasers Property Australia. A true boating lifestyle destination, the Shellharbour Marina precinct also encompasses the new Shell Cove Harbour, a breakwater, groyne, and around 2.6km of surrounding boardwalk, promenades, and shared paths. The final stage of the Shellharbour Marina development will be the addition of a world-class boat maintenance facility (BMF) slated for completion in 2025. This will include a boat lift, hardstand, enclosed dry storage, maintenance tenancies, chandlery, operations office, professional suites, and a restaurant.
