Staged by Middle Harbour Yacht Club (MHYC), the Nautilus Marine Insurance Sydney Short Ocean Racing Championship is set to take place 25-26 November. MHYC’s well-loved regatta is celebrating its 46th anniversary in 2023 and will be the first chance of an offshore hit-out this Sydney regatta season.
The start of the Nautilus Marine Insurance Sydney Short Ocean Racing Championship will be a passage race sailed either to Lion Island (in a northerly breeze) or Cape Baily (in a southerly) on the Saturday. The regatta is a key part of Nautilus Marine Insurance’s partnership with MHYC, which also includes supporting the Nautilus Marine Insurance Sydney Harbour Regatta (set to take place 2-3 March 2024).
“Nautilus Marine Insurance adds prestige to our two major events through its support of the sailing community,” says MHYC Commodore Rob Aldis. Entries to the Nautilus Marine Insurance Sydney Short Ocean Racing Championship are now open.
