There’s a certain poetry to being out on the water, the wind teasing the sails and the crew working in harmony with nature to harness the breeze. It’s a feeling that lies at the heart of the new eighth-generation of Beneteau’s Oceanis cruising yachts, where sailing pleasure and live-aboard comfort go hand-in-hand.

Coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the Oceanis range, the two latest additions – the Beneteau Oceanis 47 and Beneteau Oceanis 52 – continue that tradition with a confident blend of performance, style and practicality. Both yachts were designed by naval architect Roberto Biscontini, with interiors by Nauta Design.

Contemporary hull lines and broad sterns maximise cockpit space while delivering the responsive sailing characteristics that Oceanis owners expect. At 14.6m overall, the Oceanis 47 is conceived as an easy-to-handle cruiser, with features such as a furling mast and self-tacking jib making shorthanded sailing straightforward.

The larger Oceanis 52 takes things further, with a powerful hull form and an expansive cockpit designed as a true social hub. Below deck, both yachts prioritise light-filled interiors, flexible cabin configurations and generous owner’s suites — reaffirming the Oceanis reputation for refined cruising with genuine sailing pedigree.

Attention to detail

Safety, performance and clear visibility were front of mind with every detail of the helm station’s ergonomics carefully designed to meet sailors’ needs. The consoles house 12-inch screens for clear, precise navigation data. Everything is within easy reach, from the windlass and winches to the engine controls and twin helms, making manoeuvring a breeze.

The hull

The modern, practical hull pairs a pronounced chine with balanced volumes to create a clean, contemporary silhouette while supporting stable cruising. The chine helps the boat maintain a steady heel angle and enhances comfort under sail, while the broad beam carried aft opens valuable cockpit space without impacting manoeuvrability. These choices reflect Beneteau’s eighth-generation focus on functional design.

The heart of the yacht

The saloon is a beautiful space to enjoy the company of family and friends. The luxurious upholstery is exceedingly comfortable with thick foam pads and high-end fabrics, while the beautifully finished sanded oak woodwork gives the space a warm, sophisticated feel. There are three mood options – Sunset, Pacific or Ivory – so you can customise your floating home.

Sailing simplicity

Nominated for Cruising Sailboat of the Year at the British Yachting Awards 2025, the Oceanis 47 is designed for easy-to-handle sailing. Its multiple modular deck configurations mean it can adapt to all types of navigation. The standard version is fitted with a furling mast and self-tacking jib, guaranteeing optimum manoeuvrability. For even greater performance, the First Line Pack features a longer mast and increased sail area, and offers exceptional performance in all points of sail.

Adaptable cockpit

The cockpit is a perfect blend of fluidity. The twin C-shaped benches make it easy to move between the companionway and the lifting swim platform, which is a dream for swimming and water sports. Two height-adjustable tables give flexibility and the central seating area, which is fitted with a fridge and a plancha grill, will make every anchorage more enjoyable.

Multiple choices for relaxation

The Oceanis 52 – nominated for European Yacht of the Year 2026 – has several areas for chilling out with different vibes. Sunpad zones extend the cockpit offering shade or sun, while the foredeck has additional lounging spots away from the aft activity. This allows guests to tailor their experience – for a quieter zone head forward, while others relax closer to the cockpit hub. Grab your book, hat and sunscreen and take your pick.

Elegant interiors

The Oceanis 52’s bright, open saloon features an integrated C-shaped galley with a full-height refrigerator, Corian worktops and a service hatch with dedicated storage. Upholstery boasts comfortable high-density foam and sanded oak finishes create a calm, neutral interior. The layout encourages social time without obstructing the galley, with everything arranged for relaxed, extended living aboard.

In shape

The Oceanis 52 shines on the water with its sleek aft lines and elegant silhouette. Its pronounced chine gives it a bold dynamic, while the generously sized cockpit, made possible by the full beam design extending to the transom, is a hallmark of Biscontini hulls. This unique design results in exceptional living space, setting an exceptional standard for comfort.
