Australia’s largest premium marina network is set to strengthen its Southeast Queensland footprint with the addition of two marinas to its portfolio. d’Albora is contracted to acquire Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard (GCCM) and recently acquired Tin Can Bay Marina. Once the GCCM sale is complete, d’Albora will own 17 premier marina and boatyard destinations across QLD, NSW, and VIC.
Located in Coomera, GCCM is one of the Southern Hemisphere’s largest boat maintenance facilities and is home to a thriving marine trades precinct servicing a diverse mix of recreational and commercial vessels. “GCCM is an iconic Australian marine facility and service precinct with an outstanding industry reputation for quality, innovation and service,” says Julien Pouteau, Managing Director of d’Albora. “Our focus is on supporting their existing customers, marine trades, tenants and workforce while ensuring the facility continues to grow in its next phase of operational life as a premier marine refit and service destination under the d’Albora brand”.
Located in the heart of the Great Sandy Strait and known for its access to K’gari, Tin Can Bay Marina is a well-established boating destination offering 172 wet berths, a full-service boatyard, fuel facilities, and waterfront accommodation. “Tin Can Bay Marina is a highly regarded marina with a loyal customer base in an exceptional setting,” says Pouteau.
d’Albora also recently acquired GoBoat Australia, Australia’s leading electric picnic-boat experience. Launched in 2017 on Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra, GoBoat has grown from a single lake operation to a national footprint of six locations.
